Level 1 Gas Delivery System
The Level 1 Gas Delivery System is a single stainless steel
Alta-Robbins instrument valve, which provides precise control. The
valve is a positive shut-off design when fully closed and is rated
for 3500 PSI to 10-5 Torr high vacuum. The valve is supplied with
a CGA600 canister adaptor as pictured, or European-style canister
adaptor (pictured below). The complete Level 1 Gas Delivery System
includes metering valve, valve support bracket, canister adaptor
and canister support. (Disposable gas canisters sold separately).

Level 2 Gas Delivery System
The Level 2 Gas
Delivery System uses a double stainless steel valve arrangement
with pressure gauge. The same stainless steel Alta-Robbins
instrument valve used for the Level 1 Gas Delivery System provides
precise control. An additional stainless steel Alta-Robbins
shut-off valve isolates the gas canister from the pressure gauge
so the gauge can be evacuated prior to opening the gas canister.

Both valves are a
positive shut-off design and both are rated for 3500 PSI to 10-5 Torr high vacuum. The shut-off valve is supplied
with either a CGA600 canister adaptor as pictured, or
European-style canister adaptor (pictured below). The complete Level
2 Gas Delivery System includes metering valve, valve support
bracket, 0-600 PSI pressure gauge, shut-off valve, canister
adaptor and canister support as shown.
(Disposable gas canisters
sold separately).

Level 3 Gas Delivery System
The Level 3 Gas
Delivery System is the most user-friendly gas filling system on
the market. It is a “Set It And Forget It” gas filling system. The
high pressure disposable gas canister connects to an Alta-Robbins
stainless steel shut-off valve like the Level 2 Gas Delivery
System. The shut-off valve is then connected to a 0-600 PSI
pressure gauge, the same as the Level 2 Gas Delivery System. The
0-600 PSI pressure gauge is connected to a gas pressure regulator,
which controls the amount of pressure going to the manifold.
|
|
On the manifold
side of the regulator is a pressure relief valve for safety purposes
and a 0-15 PSI low pressure gauge to monitor the
amount of pressure from the regulator. The 0-15 PSI pressure gauge
is connected to an Alta-Robbins stainless steel metering valve,
the same as the Level 1 and Level 2 systems use. Next, the
metering valve is connected to a glass O-ring stopcock, which in
turn connects to the manifold. In use the pressure regulator is
set for 2 to 3 PSI output pressure as indicated by the low
pressure gauge. The metering valve is adjusted for the amount of
flow desired (how fast the gas comes out). The glass O-ring
stopcock is used as an on/off valve to fill units. Once the
pressure regulator is set for the desired pressure, and the
metering valve is set for the desired flow, they are left alone.
All that is necessary when filling units is to use the stopcock as
an open/closed valve. It is the quickest and easiest method for
filling units using high-pressure gas canisters.

European-Style or CGA600 Gas Canisters
Level 1, Level 2
or Level 3 Gas Delivery Systems may be ordered for use with either
CGA600 gas canisters or European-Style gas canisters. Both are
no-deposit disposable canisters.
The European-Style canisters are
available in a 12 liter capacity, while the CGA600 canisters are
available in 17 liter and 34 liter capacities. The purity of gas
in either is grade 5.

Level 4 Gas Delivery System
This system is for
use with glass gas flasks only. The Level 4 Gas Delivery System
uses an Alta-Robbins stainless steel needle valve, which
eliminates the need for the double glass stopcock arrangement
commonly used for glass gas flasks. The needle valve provides easy
and precise control of the gas flow. A proprietary adaptor with a
#15 Threaded Glass Compression O-Ring Connector is used to connect
the gas flask to the metal valve.

The adaptor
includes an internal sintered glass filter to prevent glass
fragments from the flask break-seal from entering the needle
valve. The complete Level 4 Gas Delivery System includes needle
valve, valve support and flask adaptor with filter.
(Glass gas flasks sold separately).

Level 5 Gas Delivery System
The Level 5 Gas
Delivery System is the classic double stopcock arrangement for use
with glass gas flasks. The two 0-4mm high vacuum O-ring stopcocks
are configured for easy use. A #15 Threaded Glass Compression
O-Ring Connector is sealed directly to the rear stopcock for
connecting the gas flask to the assembly. The complete Level 5 Gas
Delivery System includes dual stopcock assembly with #15 Threaded
Glass Compression O-Ring Connector and stopcock support.
(Glass
gas flasks sold separately).
